But it’s beneath the reach of the sun—in the Midnight Zone—where the truth of "what lies below" begins to stir. Here, life doesn't follow the rules of the sun. It creates its own light. Tiny, shivering constellations of bioluminescence dance in the dark, lure-lights for things with teeth like needles and skin like cellophane.
