The movie follows (Eric Freeman), the younger brother of the original film's killer, Billy. Now institutionalized, Ricky recounts his life story to a psychiatrist—a narrative framing device used to recycle approximately 30 to 40 minutes of footage from the first movie as "memories". Once the new footage kicks in, we see Ricky's own descent into madness, culminating in a violent quest for revenge against the Mother Superior who he blames for his brother’s demise. The "Garbage Day!" Phenomenon
Released on April 10, 1987, is a slasher film that has transcended its "lazy" production roots to become a legendary "so-bad-it's-good" cult classic. Directed by Lee Harry, the film was born out of a studio demand to simply re-edit the first film into a "new" sequel; the director's insistence on shooting original material resulted in a bizarre hybrid that is half-flashback and half-unhinged new slasher.
