The duo initially used a Bulgarian vocal sample, but when the rights holder refused to clear it, they decided to create something entirely original.
During the recording process, they lost a close friend. To honor their memory, they translated the track into Papiamentu and wrote lyrics reflecting their friend's spirit.
The track was born out of a creative pivot after a sample clearance issue.
The production features soul-drenched vocals from Dorothy Sherman, heavy tech-house basslines, and gospel-infused melodies that reflect their Caribbean roots. Technical Details Genre: Electronic, House, Tech House Key: A Minor Length: 6 minutes 1 second
