To get the game running on modern Windows (7, 8, 10, or 11):
When you unzip a standard Need for Speed: Underground package, you will likely see: Usually speed.exe or speed2.exe .
Right-click speed.exe , select Properties , go to the Compatibility tab, and check "Run this program in compatibility mode for" (select Windows XP SP3 or Windows 7).
