After a series of tactical maneuvers—and a very questionable permission slip—she found herself standing at the corner of 5th and Main, staring at a bus that definitely did not go to the museum.

As the bus rattled toward the outskirts of town, the familiar sights of the Kwik-E-Mart and the Android's Dungeon faded into a landscape of jagged rock and "Keep Out" signs.
