The film follows Calvin Sims, a diminutive jewel thief recently released from prison. After a diamond heist goes wrong, Calvin hides a stolen diamond in a woman’s purse to evade the police. To retrieve it, he disguises himself as a baby and is "abandoned" on the doorstep of Darryl and Vanessa Edwards, a couple desperate to have a child. The humor centers on Calvin's adult behavior while pretending to be a toddler and Darryl's cluelessness, even as his father-in-law, Pops, begins to suspect the "baby" isn't what he seems.
