    Frame

    : Once the glue is set, you can paint, stain, or apply a top coat like polyacrylic to protect the wood.

    : Lightly sand the cut ends and the surface of the wood to remove any splinters or rough edges.

    : Measure the artwork you want to frame. If you're using a mat, add twice the mat's width to the artwork's dimensions. A common formula for board length is: Artwork Width + (2 x Mat Width) + (2 x Frame Width) - 3/4" .

    : Apply wood glue to the mitered corners. Use a band clamp or picture frame clamps to hold the pieces tightly together while the glue dries.
