Cable television, often simply called "cable TV," is a system that delivers television programming to consumers via radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted through coaxial or fiber-optic cables. Unlike traditional broadcast television, which transmits signals wirelessly through the air to an antenna, cable TV uses a physical closed-circuit connection to provide a more stable signal and a much wider variety of channels.
