Released in July 2006, Battle Stadium D.O.N is a crossover platform fighter that brought together the "Big Three" of Weekly Shonen Jump: D ragon Ball Z , O ne Piece , and N aruto . Developed by Eighting—the studio behind Bloody Roar —and published by Bandai Namco, the game was a Japanese exclusive for the PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube . While it never saw an official Western release, it remains a cult classic among anime fans for its ambitious attempt to settle the "who would win" debates between Goku, Luffy, and Naruto. The "Tug-of-War" Battle System
While it shares the 2D platform-fighting DNA of the Super Smash Bros. series, distinguishes itself with a unique "tug-of-war" health system.
To win, a player must either fill the entire bar with their color—effectively "bankrupting" the other players' energy—or hold the highest percentage of energy when the timer expires.
Instead of individual health bars, all players share a single bar at the top of the screen. Attacking opponents knocks glowing orbs out of them; collecting these orbs increases your portion of the bar while shrinking theirs.
